Melton Tackle Kona/Penn International All Roller Stand-Up Trolling Combos

Melton Tackle Kona All Roller Stand-Up Trolling Rods are paired with the Penn International VIS and VISW Two Speed Reels. Large marlin and tuna lures have considerable drag when being trolled, so we built the Melton Tackle Kona Rods with stiff tips for hook-setting power. Kona Stand-Up Rods are built on custom blanks with long hypalon foregrips for added leverage and the option of either the AFTCO Unibutt or Storabutt. The Black/Silver AFTCO Guide are triple wrapped in signature Melton colors. The Kona rods are built on composite graphite/glass blanks, offering additional performance for an unmatched angling experience. Lightweight, yet powerful, these rods are really sweet.

Penn International VIS reels are designed and manufactured in the USA with domestic and imported components. These reels are precision machined from high-strength, lightweight, aircraft grade aluminum at the Penn Philadelphia machining center. The experienced Penn crew has been designing and producing durable, high-quality reels in this facility since 1932. The fully machined stainless steel gear train is the biggest in the business. The Dura-Drag system results in a smoother start up and virtually eliminates hesitation, even under extreme drag settings.
